How to use this e-course

Welcome!

Aim:

to give parents and expectant parents a simple and effective tool

  • to bring you calm,
  • give you space to think, and
  • time to slow down and just be.

There are so many options as a parent, or expectant parent, so many choices, ideas, demands. All we can do is try to find our own way, our own path to follow.

In this e-course you can

  • learn how to draw different labyrinths,
  • have some simple ideas for creating a labyrinth in your living room or garden, for your fingers or your feet.
  • tips on 'walking' your labyrinth
  • and a space to reflect afterwards.

How to use these resources:

I have set them out in sections. It is up to you if you read it all in one go or in sections. It doesn't matter.

The beauty of having it all in a portal like this is that you can dip and and out if you want to read sections in your own time or reread them.

There are some downloads and some videos. If you have any problems with this please let me know!

Use these resources to

  1. Learn how to draw a labyrinth. This is the first step. When you know how to draw one it becomes easier to create one with other tools.
  2. Decide what size labyrinth you want to create, and what materials you want to use. (I've different sizes and ideas for you)
  3. Have a practise setting it up.
  4. Read the top tips section for using a labyrinth.
  5. Start using your labyrinth as part of your daily routine, perhaps morning or bedtime, at a regular time each week, or as and when you want a tool to use to help you be calm, think through something, or slow down.
  6. Or watch/listen to the virtual labyrinth walk from Tofte Manor.
  7. Connect and reflect - in each section you can add comments to reflect, and to be part of a community.
